Black money debate on CNN-IBN.

Here is another rant on the state of black money. The Government is useless, absolutely useless. Manmohan is an absolute incompetent, ignorant and timid PM, worse then any other PM India has ever had

Yeah right!!!!!! Mark my words. Nothing is going to change.

Rahul, you are right.
Nothing will change as everyone is corrupt. Judiciary is also corrupt. Except a few people in Supreme Court, the whole system is corrupt.

But the crash in RE bubble will fix some issues. Once Sensex drops another 20%, that would also fix some black money issues.

Black money - what black money? it is all myth. If it is there prove it!

We Indians are very good at adjusting, gossiping and talking. Onion prices are high, no problem, we will manage without Onion. RE prices are high, I will buy in to rake money and adjust myself and family in a 10 by 10 kholi. I see Scams everywhere, so what, it doesn't impact me so I don't care.

Rahul Bajaj you are correct here, only thing that will change is we will learn to adjust and bitch more.

I recently visited my home town, Asked my friend's abt developments they said ..Hum sab log aaj kal baba ramdev ke bharose chal rahe hai.. health, character, nation building.. for everything he seem to have become guide. God knows how far its true but they all seem to think he will bring back the black money by 2014 ..any guess if that's really gonna happen

The way things are in India, it could be another Tunisia very soon. It is better for the people in power to start acting in favour of the Indian public who elected them and doing things right in a democracy.

Not that it would happen. Politics and honesty do not get along.

Goldman Sachs shuns the BRICs for Wall Street

Goldman Sachs has issued a short-term alert on China and India as inflation rears its ugly head, advising clients to rotate into Wall Street and Old World bourses as a safer bet over coming months.

From MK Veni, Indian Express:

However, emerging economies like India become vulnerable in terms of volatility capital flows. For instance, if the US’s unilateral monetary actions end up hurting Europe badly and this results in some eurozone economies going into a deeper crises, then capital flows across the Atlantic can get seriously disrupted.India, for instance, is a net importer of energy and at a projected GDP growth of 8.5 to 9 per cent it will necessarily require net capital flows of at least $45 billion on a consistent basis to meet its higher current account deficit of 3.5-4 per cent-plus. So there is little doubt that India needs a steady flow of Western capital in the years to come.

The only way Govt can bring back the money is to announce an amnesty for couple of years and thereafter stringent punishment like that in US/Europe meted for offenders. However, there is one problem

Most offenders in india are politicians/bureaucrats and persons with overseas business connections. Therefore this talk on bringing back the hoarded money back to India is just going to be a political talk, be the government be congress , bjp or any other party as all are in the same boat. So everybody will try to protect the boat from sinking. Talk is cheap and free , so everyone will talk.

In the meantime patriotic Indians flex their muscles and proud to point out that India is extremely wealthy. If any of you talk about poverty, price rises etc. then you are going to branded as 'DESHDROHI' or anti liberalization leftist.

Rajiv DikShit may be a stooge of some political party trying to cash in on the media hype

Most north indians are highly corrupt and only way to save the poor people of southindia is to devide the country into two like Sudan through a referendum

It is high time that south Indians awake to the reality and separate themselves from noth hegemony

Even I am a proud kannadiga, we had one partition which grew cancerous, you know which country I am talking about. We know these ups and downs are cyclical, like Bihar was once a great place every Asian once cherished to be, see how they are recovering. We need BJP across every state to bring the glory of Krishnadeva Raya. This cannot be achieved by breaking, there are sharks who will take advantage. Beware of the risk for short term gain.

Wikileaks to post black money details in weeks. This is a quote directly from Assange today. Apparently the list contains 2000 people and was given to Wikileaks by an ex swiss banker. SO now the music begins. Lets see how many governments will collaspe under this news.

Assange must have got the cut by now and I am sure that there wont be any Indian names in the list that is due to be published. Indians excel in not only accepting graft but they also know how to bribe

Case closed. Dont get your hopes too high

Those who are day dreaming like those of the kind 'proud kannadiga', please wake up to the reality

Of the two main political parties in India, I think that BJP may offer a temporary respite from population explosions by way of slaughtering muslims/christians/parsis/sikhs/buddhists/jains etc, but at the end of the day the bhayyas, ghatis, kamatis and madrasis will make of for the lost population.

Hard days are ahead guys. Dont be ooled by CONgress or BJP, for the leaders have already have built enough wealth abroad to sustain their off springs. It is people like us or our ecendents will starve and perish
